Welcome to 2nd Grade

I am SO excited to be teaching 2nd grade this school year at the BEST school EVER! This will be my 12th year teaching 2nd grade at OPS! I truly LOOOOVE 2nd grade! Before I started teaching 2nd grade, I had the pleasure of being an intervention specialist for 4th grade (for one year), a teacher assistant in 1st grade (for two years), and a 1st grade teacher (for one year).

 

I graduated from Northeastern Illinois University back in 2008 with my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I decided to go back to school a few years ago to get an English as a Second Language endorsement. Just like my students, I like to keep learning new things too! =) Teaching has always been my dream job. I remember being a little girl begging my friends to always play school. It is such a great feeling to wake up and come to my dream job every day! <3

Besides teaching, I love to go shopping, take naps, watch shows on Netflix, and hang out with my family and friends. I am a fur mom to one adorable tabby cat named Nugget. He definitely keeps me busy! I hope to one day travel to Italy and Greece. I have my passport but it's currently collecting dust.
